The aim of the project is to support the 3rd Age adults who are "gearing up" for retirement and learning techniques of meaningful time use. The key focus of meaningful time use includes how to contribute one's own capacity to an ageing society, rebuild social circles, and importantly establish intergenerational family capacity and relationships. Ultimately, the target beneficiaries will be able to enjoy their retirement by mitigating difficulties associated with the retirement transition period and nurturing their family members and community to be part of building a harmonious ageing society in Hong Kong.
This family of five is like a battlefield. Mrs. Wong and her elder daughter think alike and support each other. The elder daughter is an enthusiastic assistant to the mother checking on her younger brother. The younger son and Grandma (mother of Mr. Wong) are staunch allies against Mrs. Wong and her daughter. Mrs. Wong is especially aggravated that Mr. Wong did not stand up for her against his mother when the latter is unreasonable. Mr. Wong feels very lonely and marginal in the family.

Mrs. Lee is very hardworking and efficient. She is dismayed that her husband is irresponsible, distant and avoidant of her. She wants very much to deal with this challenging situation.
